1.     Corporate reputation is very important to companies as well as consumers. As years go on these corporations are starting to see the real benefit of having a strong corporate reputation. The idea of having your brand or company come to mind when thinking about a certain product or lines or services is crucial in the brand strategy and for a strong passion in the market for years down the line. With that having a well-known brand also helps within crisis management. People will already like the company and if the company responses well to crises it can impact the brand even more to build trust and loyalty.  Following that, having a strong reputation can lead to more successful product or service launches in the future, making people want to buy your product or other brand launces. All of these are just a few that was stated in the reading for having a good corporate reputation. The brand is the overall view of the company and must be taken seriously for success down the line.
2.     Corporate reputation is basically the brands overall view from the consumer. How they are perceived and what people think of when they hear of a certain type of product or when they hear the name, good or bad. There are several companies that do this well. The first being Starbucks. Starbucks has a strong corporate reputation of their fine coffee and upscale food and coffee beans. Starbucks over the years has created loyal customers that keep coming back and keep choosing them over other coffee places. They have built up a good reputation that they don’t even have to advertise that much anymore. Another company who does this well is Under Armor. This company has seen the importance of this and has worked hard to make their reputation a good one. They understand that the brand is their signature. They have faced some crisis but with good communication and a strong team they have not allowed their reputation to get away from them.

HERTZ

Hertz is a vehicle rental business since 1918, across the country as well as abroad. This company has responsible that they go by such as treating their employees well, they are reducing the impact of their operations on the environment and their products are safe, fuel efficient and sustainable. Major issues within the Tampa Bay area including food insurance rates, health care, transit, the achievement gap, protecting children along with economic development issues and some others but those being some of the main concerns throughout the community. The government is aware of these issues and has been trying their best to resolve them. For example, the food insurance rates are at an all-time high which is affecting many companies. They have thought about creating their own private flood insurance market or for them to delay this process and the law and to go back to the drawing board. Health care has been a big talk as well with Florida accepting billions from the federal government to expand Medicate. The Governor is trying hard to not ignore the moral arguments of taking the money and they are listening to the community to see which would be the best route. Transit is also an issue with more people visiting Tampa every year. They are working on a rail system with some higher taxes saying it would be more appealing and would create jobs. There are some other issues as well but it seems like within these crisis the government is doing its best to be transparent and to do what is best for most of the people in the community.

Although Hertz does some things around the community, I believe that they could do more. They say they go green and are every involved with keeping the environment healthy, so they could possibly be a part of a trash pick-up day on the beach, they could host or sponsor events by giving thing away like reusable straws or bags. They could sponsor small events near the river walk or big ones in the Amerile Arena with The Lighting. This would get their name out and get more people seeing what Hertz is doing around the community and allows the employees to talk to the community as well. For the beach clean-up they could be wearing Hertz shirts and would allow for employees to get out of work, bond with each other while helping out the community. They could post these things on social media, their website or even have a PSA or TV and or radio. On social media you could see people who tags you in posts through the events as well as who is sharing and liking what is posted on social media. So maybe not everyone attends the clean-up but they can share it on SM and then the world and community will at least know that it happened and that Hertz is trying to make a difference.

SNAP
Programs or sponsorships that Snap should consider could be things likes having an event that show off the spectacles, because I heard a bit about them a while ago and then I heard nothing, if they are still trying to push them then if they had an event or sponsored an vent around the area people could try on the glasses and interact with them. If they created a hashtag people could take pictures in them and post and they could also have a contest where Snap picks a couple of people who posted a strong video or post for a chance to win their own spectacles. They could also pair up with the Bucks or the Lighting asking to promote their brand and their glasses as a whole photo business. Employees could be handing out merch with a QR code, helping out with events and doing things around the community to get the name out even more. They could also help out and volunteer with the blind, they are promoting glasses, but some people do not have the opportunity to see so they could just be doing good with visual impaired individuals and then post about it. Just like Hertz they should post on social media, their website as well as on other people’s websites by sharing and then do something on the radio. They could still measure the audience and the people planning on attending and the amount of shares and likes they get on social media.
